The HRN working group was formed in 2009 and consists of a small number of HRN members. It meets regularly to discuss and plan the HRN's direction, materials and manage the website resource.
The working group and the HRN are supported by the Scottish Recovery Network (SRN).

HUG (Highland Users Group)
The Highland Users Group (HUG) is a network of people with experience of mental health problems who live in the Highlands.
Our main aim is to improve the way in which we, as users of mental health services, are treated by campaigning to improve the rights, services and treatment of people with mental health problems, and to challenge stigma and discrimination.

Highland Carers Support
The Highland Carers Officer is available to carers and their families and friends to provide:-
- ONE TO ONE SUPPORT
- GROUP SUPPORT
- ADVICE/ADVOCACY
- INFORMATION
on a range of issues surrounding mental illness and being a carer.
Although based in Inverness, the Carers Officer makes regular visits to outlying areas for home visits, group meetings and to provide information events.

Birchwood Highland
Birchwood Highland is a charity dedicated to the independence, inclusion and recovery of some of the Highland’s most vulnerable adults and young people.
We work with adults and young people to help them manage their difficulties, recover and lead the best lives possible with friends, jobs and families.
